Adobawhat?!?

#22: Take better pictures and more of them.

I bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 about 6 months ago in hopes that it would assist me in accomplishing this goal. The program has been sitting on my desktop untouched since then. I must have figured that just by spending all that money on the software, it would automatically make my pictures better. Not the case apparently... I guess I have to learn how to use it.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 for Dummies has been purchased through Amazon and should arrive this weekend.

Here is some experimenting I've done in the mean time and proof that I've been working at this goal:

I took this picture of some blankets folded on my couch in front of the window and just fooled around to start to see what the program can do. Mind you it took me 10 minutes alone to figure out how to properly export a photo.

It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to get that photo upright.

And then another 15 minutes to figure out how to get text on it.

And then I just went crazy with all the different effects.

The Spherize effect

Black and white. The only thing I remember from my high school photography class is that true black and white photos are supposed to have pure black and pure white in them.

Outline. In case I want to print it out and color it in? I don't know, but the softwear can do it!

Baby steps people! Baby steps. Experimenting with the program has gotten me excited that I have it.

Now I just need to get my hands on my dream camera. I've been falling asleep with visions of Canon Rebel T2is in my head for days now. What do you shoot with? I really don't know much about that line of cameras its just what has been recommended to me.
